ELEKTRA RECORD SLEEVES

SLEEVE #'S / DESCRIPTIONS YEAR LAST CATALOG # COMMENTS
Brown Sleeve 1960-1968 -- Sleeve is tan colored and made of Elektra logos. Has 1855 Broadway address. No date or numbers, but I've only found them in Elektra LPs with Tan labels.
Mirror Sleeve 1968-1971 -- Black Sleeve with a large Elektra logo in the middle. The logo is mirrored so that two appear. Text at the bottom reads: "Elektra Records / Nonesuch Records 1855 Brodway..." and there is no date or numbers. I would guess that this was used in the LPs that have Red labels with Large "E" Logos.
Building Sleeve 1968 - 1971 -- Same as Mirror Sleeve, except that there are photos on Side B. Text at the bottom reads: "Elektra Records 1855 Broadway...". I would guess that it was used at the same time as the Mirror Sleeve.
Butterfly Text 1971 75010 Sleeve has the large butterfly logo over half of both sides with albums listed by artist on the second half of each side. Has the new Columbus Circle address at the bottom.
New Magic, Dusty World (2915) 1971 75011 Black and white sleeve with the butterfly logo on Side B. Has albums listed by artist on both sides (alot more than previous sleeve). Has the number "2915" in the bottom right corner of Side A. Has the same address as the previous sleeve.
Butterfly Bricks Sleeve 1972 - 1978 -- Color sleeve with the butterfly logo and a drawing of some bricks. Says "Something Out of the Ordinary" and the sleeve is the same on both sides. The Los Angeles address was added to the bottom. This was probably used primarily between '72 and '78, since the butterfly logo was discontinued in '78.
Red & Black sleeve 1980 --

Sleeve is red and black and has the 80's Elektra logo on both sides.
